Troubleshooting
Fronds turning brown
Check for insufficient water, too much sun, or low humidity. Increase watering, move to a shadier spot, and consider misting the fronds.
Slow growth
Ensure the fern is planted in the right conditions (shade, moist soil). Fertilize in spring.
Pests or diseases
Inspect the fern regularly for pests like scale or aphids. Treat with an appropriate insecticide if necessary. Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Planting: Choose a location with dappled or semi-shade and moist, rich soil. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball of the fern.
- Soil: Amend the soil with compost or well-rotted manure to improve its moisture retention and fertility, especially if planting in the garden.
- Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry periods. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
- Mulching: Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the fern to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
- Fertilizing: Feed the fern with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring.
- Container Care: If growing in a container, use a humus-rich soil mix and ensure the pot has good drainage. Move the container to a sheltered location during winter.
