FAQs

Is this paint suitable for bathrooms?

While highly durable and washable, it is designed primarily for interior walls and ceilings in living areas. Ensure good ventilation if used in rooms with moisture.

Does the marble content affect the colour?

The marble infusion enhances the depth and light-reflective qualities of the St Clement 11 hue, giving it a high-end look.

Can I use this on wood or metal?

This specific formula is formulated for plaster walls and ceilings. For multi-surface needs, check the Mylands range for specialized metal or wood paints.

How many coats do I need?

Typically, two coats are recommended for full opacity and to maximize the performance benefits of the marble emulsion.

Is it safe for children's bedrooms?

Yes, it is low VOC and eco-friendly, making it a suitable choice for bedrooms and living spaces.

How do I store leftover paint?

Seal the tin tightly and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or freezing temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Uneven texture after first coat

Ensure proper surface preparation and use a high-quality roller to distribute the marble particles evenly.

Paint rubbing off during cleaning

Wait at least 24-48 hours for the paint to fully cure before performing any deep cleaning or scrubbing.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sophisticated, timeless off-white colour with modern undertones
Highly durable and scuff-resistant for long-term wall protection
Environmentally conscious, low VOC, water-based formula
Easy to clean, wipeable surface perfect for family homes

Cons

Requires careful preparation to ensure the marble texture adheres correctly
May look different depending on the natural light in the room
Smaller containers may be insufficient for large-scale full-room renovations

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before application, ensure your wall or ceiling surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or loose debris. For best results, use a high-quality primer if you are covering a dark or porous surface. Apply using a premium synthetic brush or a medium-nap roller for an even, professional finish.

For ongoing care, avoid harsh chemicals; a soft, damp cloth is sufficient to remove surface dirt or marks. Since this is a water-based emulsion, wash tools immediately with warm, soapy water after use to prevent the paint from hardening on brushes or rollers.
