Product Information
Full details
The Drennan Revolution Catapult is designed for anglers who practice rigorous feeding, such as pellet waggler fishing, and seek to minimize elastic tangles. Its key benefit is the specialized revolving attachment that significantly reduces twisting, ensuring a more consistent and accurate bait spread. A potential caveat for some users might be the specific elastic strengths available, requiring careful selection for different fishing scenarios and ranges. This catapult features a durable construction with a comfortable ergonomic handle and a straight attachment peg to reduce elastic wear, utilizing super-tough polymer pouches and slick rotation bearings for reliable, consistent bait delivery.

FAQs
Which elastic strength should I choose?
The choice depends on your target distance and bait type. Aqua and Red are for shorter ranges and lighter baits. Green and Orange are for longer ranges and heavier baits requiring more power.
Can I use other brands of elastic with this catapult?
While it may be possible to adapt, using Drennan's recommended elastic ensures optimal fit and performance with the catapult's design.
How often should I replace the elastic and pouch?
This depends on usage frequency and conditions. Inspect regularly for signs of wear. Typically, elastic may need replacement after significant use, while pouches are very durable but should be replaced if torn.
Is the revolving attachment maintenance-free?
While designed for low maintenance, occasional cleaning of the bearings with fresh water is recommended to ensure smooth rotation and prevent buildup of debris.
What baits are best suited for this catapult?
It is versatile and suitable for maggots, casters, pellets, and particle baits. Ensure the bait fits comfortably within the pouch without being too large or too small.
How do I clean the catapult effectively?
Rinse with clean water after use to remove bait and dirt. A damp cloth can be used for general cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
What is the advantage of the straight attachment peg?
The straight peg minimizes friction and wear on the elastic compared to angled pegs, helping to prolong the life of the elastic.
Troubleshooting
Elastic tangles frequently despite the revolving attachment.
Ensure the revolving attachment is clean and spins freely. Check that the elastic is not twisted before casting and that the pouch is not overloaded, which can cause it to flip incorrectly.
Inconsistent bait spread or accuracy.
Verify that the pouch is correctly seated on the bait. Ensure the elastic tension is appropriate for your casting style and distance. Check for any obstructions around the frame or pouch.
Elastic wears out quickly.
Confirm that the attachment peg is straight and free from burrs. Avoid overstretching the elastic during casting. Store the catapult properly to prevent premature aging of the elastic.
Pouch tears or degrades rapidly.
Ensure you are using the correct bait size for the pouch. Avoid using baits with sharp edges that could cut the polymer. Clean the pouch after use to remove any residue that might degrade the material.
The revolving attachment feels stiff or doesn't spin smoothly.
Clean the bearings thoroughly with fresh water and allow to dry. If stiffness persists, a very small amount of silicone lubricant might be applied to the bearing mechanism, but avoid excessive amounts that could attract dirt.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Revolution Catapult is ready for use out of the box. Ensure the elastic is securely attached to both the frame and the pouch. For optimal performance, check that the revolving attachment spins freely.
Compatibility: This catapult is designed to work with Drennan's specific elastic and pouch systems. While it can be used with various baits such as maggots, casters, pellets, and particle baits, ensure the pouch size is appropriate for the bait you intend to use.
Care: To maintain performance and longevity:
- Cleaning: After each use, rinse the catapult with clean water to remove any mud, grit, or bait residue. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the frame and handle. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the catapult in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure the elastic is not stretched or kinked during storage.
- Inspection: Periodically check the elastic for signs of wear or damage. Inspect the pouch for tears or degradation. Examine the revolving mechanism for free movement.
