Product Information

Full details

This Ancol Padded Harness is designed for dog owners seeking a durable and comfortable walking accessory suitable for various weather conditions. Its primary benefit is a combination of all-weather suitability, enhanced comfort with a micro-fleece lining, and versatile lead attachment options, making it ideal for daily walks, active play, and even swimming. A potential caveat is that while designed for all-weathers, extreme conditions may still require monitoring for wear and tear.

FAQs

Is this harness suitable for puppies?

Yes, as long as you select the correct size for your puppy and adjust it as they grow. Always supervise young dogs during walks.

Can I use this harness for training a dog that pulls?

Yes, the harness features both front and rear lead attachment points. The front attachment can be used to help discourage pulling by redirecting your dog's motion.

How do I determine the correct size?

Refer to the product's sizing chart, which typically measures chest girth. Ensure a snug but comfortable fit, allowing about two fingers' width of space.

Is the harness machine washable?

It is recommended to hand wash the harness with mild soap and water to preserve its material and reflective properties. Always air dry.

Will the colours fade over time?

The harness is designed with durable poly-weave material. While colours are generally fade-resistant, prolonged exposure to strong sunlight might cause some fading over extended periods.

Can this harness be used for car travel?

While the harness provides secure lead attachment, it is not designed as a car restraint system. For car travel, a dedicated car harness or carrier is recommended.

Troubleshooting

Harness seems too loose or too tight

Readjust the harness straps. Ensure you are following the sizing guide and that the harness fits comfortably, allowing two fingers to slide between the harness and your dog's body.

Dog is rubbing or chafing from the harness

Ensure the harness is not too tight and that the micro-fleece lining is positioned correctly and free of debris. Check for any loose threads or rough spots on the harness.

Reflective points are not visible

Ensure the reflective points are clean and not obscured by dirt or mud. The effectiveness of reflective materials is dependent on external light sources.

Harness smells after swimming

Hand wash the harness with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely before storing or using it again.
