FAQs

What material is the jumpsuit made of?

The jumpsuit is made from a 100% polyester stretch knit fabric, with a super-soft and luxurious brown and tan minky fabric for the main body.

How long is the monkey tail?

The attached monkey tail measures approximately 47 inches long.

How do I put on the costume?

The costume features a zipper down the back, making it easy to put on and take off.

Is this costume suitable for children?

This costume is designed for adults and is available in adult sizing (Large).

Can I machine wash the jumpsuit?

It is recommended to hand wash the jumpsuit in cold water and lay flat or hang to dry to preserve the fabric and design. Machine washing is not advised.

Does the costume come with any accessories?

No, the costume includes the jumpsuit with an attached tail and hood. Accessories like bananas or bean bags are not included and would need to be sourced separately.

What does 'Bean Bags Not Included' mean?

This note in the product description is a playful suggestion for accessories that could enhance the monkey costume experience, such as throwing brown bean bags, but they are not supplied with the costume itself.

Troubleshooting

Jumpsuit feels too tight or restrictive.

Ensure you have selected the correct size. If the purchased size is 'Large' and still feels snug, consider if the stretch knit fabric is less accommodating than expected for your body type. For minor tightness, try stretching the fabric gently while damp.

Zipper is difficult to move.

Gently pull the zipper up and down a few times, ensuring no fabric is caught. If it remains stiff, a small amount of graphite (from a pencil tip) or a specialized zipper lubricant can be applied sparingly to the zipper teeth.

Tail or hood seems misshapen after shipping.

Gently reshape the tail and hood by hand. The minky fabric is pliable. If creases are present, a very low-heat iron can be used cautiously on the fabric, keeping it away from embroidered areas.

Fabric feels less soft after cleaning.

Ensure you followed the recommended hand-washing and air-drying instructions. Avoid harsh detergents or high heat. For minor stiffness, a fabric softener can be used sparingly during the final rinse of a hand wash.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely comfortable due to soft minky fabric.
Detailed design elements like the embroidered hood and long tail enhance authenticity.
Easy to wear and remove with a back zipper.
Provides a complete, instant costume for various occasions.
Made from durable polyester material.

Cons

Requires separate purchase of any desired accessories (e.g., bananas, bean bags).
May be too warm for very hot weather.
Limited to one specific character (monkey).
Specific sizing might not fit all body types perfectly outside of 'Large'.
Dry cleaning might be recommended for best care, limiting easy washing.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

This costume requires no assembly. Simply unpack the jumpsuit, and it is ready to wear. The back zipper allows for easy donning and doffing.

Compatibility:

The jumpsuit is designed as a single-piece garment. It is compatible with most personal accessories you might wish to add, such as face paint (used with caution around the embroidered features) or other themed props.

Care Instructions:

To maintain the quality and softness of the minky fabric, hand washing in cold water is recommended. Avoid using bleach. For drying, lay flat or hang to dry. If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron setting only. Due to the nature of the fabric and embroidery, machine washing and high heat drying are not advised as they may damage the material or the design.
