FAQs
Can I mix this with other coolants?
It is strongly recommended to flush the system entirely before switching to Bluecol OE05 to avoid chemical incompatibility between different additive packages.
What is the recommended dilution ratio?
For optimum protection against freezing and boiling, a 50/50 mixture of coolant and clean water is recommended.
Is this safe for aluminum engines?
Yes, the HOAT formulation is designed to be compatible with modern cooling systems, including those with aluminum components.
Does it need to be replaced every year?
No, this is a heavy-duty formula with an exceptional service life of up to 6,000 hours, depending on your vehicle's manual.
Can this be used in a passenger car?
While it meets many high-end specifications, please verify your car manufacturer's manual to ensure it aligns with the required coolant standard (e.g., MB 325.0).
Troubleshooting
Engine temperature consistently running high
Check for airlocks in the system or ensure the coolant to water ratio is not overly diluted.
Signs of leakage around hose connections
Inspect hose clamps and seals; while OE05 is compatible with these components, aged rubber may need replacing if leaks persist.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Meets a wide range of global OEM specifications
Suitable for diverse engine types including natural gas
High thermal stability for heavy-duty usage
Protects against freezing and overheating simultaneously
Cons
Requires precise 50/50 dilution for best results
Not intended for non-professional or light-duty use without system verification
Requires careful disposal according to local environmental regulations
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation: Completely drain and flush the existing cooling system with clean water to remove old residue.
Inspection: Verify the condition of all hoses, clips, and joints before refilling to prevent leaks.
Mixing: Add the coolant to equal 50% of your system's total capacity, then top up with clean water.
Purging: Run the engine until it hits normal operating temperature to circulate the fluid and purge trapped airlocks.
Maintenance: Check fluid levels regularly and follow the vehicle manufacturer's handbook for specific change intervals beyond the standard 6,000-hour rating.
