Setup, Compatibility & Care
Surface Preparation:
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. For best adhesion on porous surfaces, a primer may be beneficial (check manufacturer's recommendations).
Compatibility:
This sealant adheres to most common roofing materials including bitumen, asphalt, felt, metals, and wood. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area if unsure about compatibility with specific materials.
Application:
Apply using a standard sealant gun. Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size. Apply a continuous bead to one surface, then press the two surfaces together. Smooth the bead with a wet tool if necessary for a neat finish.
Care & Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Once cured, the sealant is highly durable. Clean tools and any excess uncured sealant with water immediately after use. Cured sealant can be removed mechanically.
