Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the water supply to your shower is turned off.
- Unscrew the old shower hose from both the shower head and the shower valve outlet.
- Identify the correct conical nut for each connection. The nuts may have slightly different outer widths; if one doesn't fit your shower head or valve, simply try the other.
- Place a washer inside each conical nut.
- Screw the new hose onto the shower head and the shower valve outlet by hand, ensuring a snug fit.
- Use an adjustable wrench to gently tighten each connection an additional quarter to half turn. Avoid over-tightening, which can damage the fittings or washers.
- Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks.
Compatibility:
The hose features universal 1/2" BSP standard size connectors, designed to fit most shower systems, including popular brands like Mira, Triton, Grohe, Bristan, Aqualisa, and Trevi. The swappable conical nuts help ensure a secure fit even if your existing fittings are slightly non-standard.
Care:
Clean the hose regularly with a soft, damp cloth to maintain its chrome finish. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface. Periodically check the connections for any signs of wear or leaks and tighten if necessary.
