FAQs

Does it fit 12ft rods?

While it is designed for 13ft rods, shorter rods will fit, though there will be extra space at the top of the compartments.

Is the holdall waterproof?

The SolarCam material is highly water-resistant and durable, suitable for typical wet weather conditions at the bank.

Can I store a landing net handle inside?

While primarily for rods, there is often enough space in the side pockets or alongside rods for slim accessories like bank sticks or net handles.

How do I clean the interior?

The anti-snag lining can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Ensure it is completely dry before storing.

What is the weight of the empty holdall?

The holdall weighs approximately 2.52kg.

Are the individual rod compartments padded?

Yes, the individual compartments are designed to provide protective separation between each made-up rod.

Troubleshooting

Zipper feels stiff or hard to operate

Clean the zipper teeth with a soft brush to remove any dirt or mud and apply a silicone-based zipper lubricant.

Holdall feels unbalanced when carrying

Ensure the internal weight is distributed evenly between the three main compartments and adjust the AirStrap length for better center of gravity.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Protects rods with 50mm butt rings and large big pit reels
Prevents line tangling with the rear-entry zipper system
Provides storage for two extra rods externally
Includes a convenient, integrated lead bag
Durable and stylish SolarCam camo finish

Cons

Length (211cm) requires sufficient vehicle space for transport
Dedicated only to 13ft rod configurations
Heavier empty weight compared to soft sleeves

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maximize the life of your holdall, ensure that all external zippers are fully closed before transit. Since the unit features a self-ventilating AirStrap, occasionally wipe the strap padding with a damp cloth if it becomes dirty after long sessions. Compatibility is guaranteed with all standard 13ft carp rods. If you are using the Solar System Modular Concept, you can clip compatible accessory pouches to the exterior of the holdall. Store the bag in a dry, shaded area when not in use to prevent the SolarCam fabric from fading over time. Keep the main zippers clear of grit or debris to ensure smooth operation.
