FAQs

What does 'Paste the Paper' application mean?

It means you apply the wallpaper adhesive directly to the back of the wallpaper rather than the wall itself.

How do I calculate the amount of wallpaper I need?

Measure the height and width of your walls, then calculate the total surface area. Consider the design repeat (64cm) when calculating, and add extra for matching patterns and wastage.

Can I use this wallpaper in a bathroom?

While the wallpaper is suitable for interior use, ensure your bathroom has adequate ventilation to prevent moisture damage.

What type of adhesive should I use?

Use a wallpaper adhesive specifically designed for 'Paste the Paper' application.

How do I remove the wallpaper?

The removal process will depend on the adhesive used. It's best to consult the manufacturer's instructions for the adhesive and wallpaper.

What is design match?

Design match refers to how the pattern aligns on adjacent strips of wallpaper. This wallpaper has an offset match.

Can I paint over this wallpaper?

It is generally not recommended to paint over this wallpaper. It is designed to be used as is.

Troubleshooting

Wallpaper not adhering to the wall.

Ensure the wall is properly primed and the correct adhesive is used. Check that the paste is applied evenly to the back of the wallpaper and that the paper is smoothed out thoroughly during application.

Air bubbles appear after hanging.

Use a smoothing brush to gently push the air bubbles towards the edges of the wallpaper. For larger bubbles, carefully lift the wallpaper and re-apply, ensuring all air is removed.

Pattern mismatch.

Carefully measure and align the wallpaper, accounting for the 64cm design repeat. Double-check pattern alignment before applying to the wall.

Seams are visible.

Ensure the edges of the wallpaper are butted tightly together during installation. Use a seam roller to flatten the seams and improve adhesion.
