Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Setting the Time: Gently pull out the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) to the first or second click position (depending on the watch model, usually the second click for time setting). Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the hands indicate the correct time. Once set, push the crown back in fully to start the watch.
- Bracelet Adjustment: The alloy bracelet features removable links to adjust the fit to your wrist. For precise sizing, it's recommended to have this done by a professional jeweler or watch repair shop. If you have a watch link removal tool, you can attempt it yourself by pushing out the pins on the designated links.
Compatibility
This watch is designed to be compatible with a wide range of wrist sizes, thanks to its adjustable link bracelet. Its versatile design complements various personal styles and wardrobes.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care is crucial to maintain the beauty and longevity of your Sekonda Monica watch, especially its ion-plated finish.
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For a deeper clean, slightly dampen the cloth with water and mild soap, then wipe and immediately dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or chemicals.
- Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose your watch to perfumes, colognes, hairspray, detergents, or other harsh chemicals, as these can damage the ion plating and other components.
- Water Resistance: This watch is generally splash-resistant. It is NOT suitable for swimming, showering, bathing, or diving. Avoid submersion in water. Always wipe dry immediately if it gets wet.
- Storage: When not in use, store your watch in a dry place, preferably in its original box or a soft pouch, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and magnetic fields.
- Avoid Impact: Protect your watch from hard knocks or drops, which can damage the case, crystal, or internal mechanism.
- Regular Servicing: While not strictly necessary for a quartz fashion watch, consider a battery replacement every 2-3 years by a qualified technician to ensure optimal performance and seal integrity.
