Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
These composite decking boards are designed for straightforward installation using common carpentry tools. Ensure you have a suitable sub-frame constructed from treated timber or metal joists. Boards can be cut to size using a fine-toothed circular saw. It is recommended to use specific composite decking screws to prevent splitting and ensure a secure fit. Allow for expansion gaps between boards, especially in direct sunlight, following manufacturer guidelines for spacing.
Compatibility:
The boards are compatible with standard deck framing systems. Ensure your sub-frame is level and adequately supported to distribute weight evenly.
Care:
Cleaning is simple: sweep away loose debris regularly. For tougher stains or dirt, use warm water and a mild detergent with a soft brush or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or power washers, as these can damage the surface.
Important Note: Composite shades can subtly change after prolonged exposure to strong sunlight. This is a natural characteristic and not a defect. This slight fading or color adjustment is part of the material's interaction with UV light.
