Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation: Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old finishes. Lightly sand any rough areas. For previously oiled surfaces, ensure they are clean and dry.
Application: Apply Liberon Teak Oil liberally along the grain using a clean, lint-free cloth or brush. Allow the oil to penetrate the wood for 15-30 minutes, then wipe away any excess oil that has not soaked in with a clean cloth. Apply a second coat after 24 hours if needed, following the same procedure. For full protection, multiple thin coats are recommended over successive days.
Compatibility: Ideal for teak, iroko, and other hard, exotic, or oily woods. Not recommended for softwoods or previously varnished/painted surfaces.
Care: Clean treated surfaces with a damp cloth. For maintenance, reapply a thin coat of Teak Oil as needed, typically once or twice a year depending on exposure.
