How many coats of paint should I apply?
Apply multiple thin coats, allowing a few minutes between each coat. The number of coats needed depends on the surface and desired coverage.
How long does it take for the paint to dry?
Drying times vary depending on conditions. Refer to the product label for specific drying and curing times. Typically, it is dry to the touch in a few hours, but allow a full 24 hours for complete curing.
Can I use this paint on plastic?
Yes, but it's recommended to test on a small area of the plastic first to ensure compatibility and adhesion.
How do I clean the painted surface?
Clean the painted surface with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
What should I do if the paint drips?
If drips occur, let the paint dry completely. Lightly sand the area and reapply thin coats of paint.
Troubleshooting
Paint is running or dripping.
Apply thinner coats and ensure you are holding the can the recommended distance from the surface. Avoid spraying too much paint in one area.
Poor adhesion or flaking.
Ensure the surface is properly prepared (clean, dry, and sanded). Use a suitable primer. Apply paint in thin, even coats.
Uneven finish.
Shake the can well before use. Apply the paint evenly, maintaining a consistent distance from the surface. Apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat.
Color is not as expected.
Ensure the surface has been properly primed, especially if painting over a dark surface. The final color may also be affected by the number of coats applied and the surrounding light.
