Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Preparation: Clear the area where the edging will be installed, removing any large stones or debris.
- Positioning: Determine the desired layout and position the edging sections.
- Insertion: Gently push the integral spikes into the ground to secure the edging. A rubber mallet can be used to gently tap the edging into place if the ground is hard.
Compatibility
The Forest Garden Slatted Edging is designed for use in soft ground, such as lawns and garden beds. Ensure the ground is suitable for spike insertion. It is also compatible with a wide range of garden styles and landscaping designs.
Care
- Cleaning: Wipe down the edging with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
- Maintenance: Inspect the edging periodically and ensure it remains securely in place.
- Preservation: The pressure treatment provides rot resistance. No further treatment is required; however, you can apply a timber stain to change the colour or add extra protection, but this may affect the warranty.
