FAQs

Is this kit compatible with my specific camera brand?

Yes, the kit is universal and mounts to most reportage speedlites regardless of your camera brand.

Do I need to use TTL mode with these modifiers?

The kit is designed for manual operation; while TTL may work, manual settings are recommended for consistent results with light modifiers.

What is the primary use of the snoot?

The snoot is used to create a narrow, concentrated beam of light for accenting or hair lighting.

How do I attach the color filters?

The filters are typically held in place by the included bracket system or the provided velcro straps.

Can I use this kit for studio strobe lights?

No, this kit is specifically designed for speedlites (reportage flash) and will not fit onto larger studio strobe units.

Troubleshooting

Modifier feels loose on the flash head

Re-adjust the velcro straps to ensure a tighter wrap around the flash body.

Light is not hitting the subject correctly

Ensure the bracket is aligned perfectly with the flash head to prevent obstruction of the beam.

Softbox looks wrinkled

Carefully expand the softbox frame fully and allow it to sit for a few minutes to regain its intended shape.

Provides essential tools for professional lighting control
Universal speedlite bracket fits most flash units

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the kit, attach the universal speedlite bracket to your flash head using the provided straps. Once the bracket is secured, you can attach any of the magnetic or velcro-based modifiers. The kit is compatible with almost all universal reportage flash units. To care for your gear, ensure the velcro straps are kept free of lint or dust to maintain a strong grip. Wipe the color filters with a microfibre cloth to prevent scratches and store the softbox in a cool, dry place when not in use to maintain the integrity of the reflective interior coating.
