FAQs

How do I sterilise the MAM Original Soothers?

You can easily sterilise them using the self-sterilising travel case. Fill the case with 25 ml of water, place the soothers inside, close the lid, and microwave for 3 minutes at 750-1000 watts. Allow to cool before opening.

What is SkinSoft Silicone?

SkinSoft Silicone is a unique material developed by MAM that feels soft and skin-like, making it highly accepted by babies (94%* acceptance rate) for its comforting and familiar texture.

Is this soother good for my baby's dental development?

Yes, the MAM Original Soother features a thin, symmetrical teat designed with dental experts to support healthy tooth and jaw development in babies.

How often should I replace the soothers?

For hygiene and safety reasons, it is generally recommended to replace soothers every 1-2 months. Always inspect the soother for any signs of wear or damage before each use and replace immediately if any are found.

Can I attach a soother strap to these soothers?

Absolutely. The soother has a handy button that allows for firm and secure attachment to most standard soother straps, helping to prevent loss.

How do these soothers help prevent skin irritation?

The MAM Original Soothers are designed with a curved shape and large air holes. This design promotes airflow around your baby's mouth, reducing moisture build-up and helping to prevent skin irritation.

What age range are these specific soothers suitable for?

While the product description highlights suitability for 'growing smiles' and is designed for healthy development, the specific age range for this particular 2-pack is not detailed. Please check the product packaging or retailer's information for age-specific sizing recommendations.

Troubleshooting

My baby isn't accepting the soother.

The MAM Original Soother features SkinSoft Silicone, accepted by 94%* of babies. Offer the soother gently when your baby is calm and receptive. Ensure it's clean and free from any strong scents. Try offering it at different times of the day.

Redness or irritation around my baby's mouth.

Ensure the soother is thoroughly cleaned after each use to remove saliva and food residues. The MAM soother's curved shape and large air holes are designed to prevent irritation, so confirm it's positioned correctly to allow proper airflow. If irritation persists, consult a healthcare professional.

Difficulty sterilising soothers while traveling.

Utilise the provided self-sterilising travel case. Add 25 ml of water, place soothers inside, and microwave for 3 minutes (750-1000 watts). This method is quick, effective, and eliminates the need for separate sterilisation equipment on the go.

Care Instructions

Before First Use: Sterilise each soother thoroughly.
Daily Cleaning: Clean the soother before each use. Wash in warm water with a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
Sterilisation with Travel Case:

Fill the travel case with 25 ml of water (to the indicated line).
Place the soothers in the case with the teat facing down.
Close the case and heat in the microwave for 3 minutes at 750-1000 watts.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes before opening. The self-sterilised soothers remain disinfected in the closed box for up to 48 hours.

Inspection: Regularly inspect the soother for any signs of wear, damage, or stickiness. Pull the teat in all directions before each use. Discard immediately if any damage or weakness is detected.
Replacement: For hygiene and safety, it is recommended to replace soothers every 1-2 months, or sooner if signs of wear are visible. Do not tie the soother around your baby's neck as it presents a strangulation hazard.
Storage: Store soothers in a dry, covered container when not in use.
