FAQs

What are the dimensions of this mattress?

This mattress measures 140x70cm, which is the standard size for most cotbeds.

Is the mattress protector waterproof?

Yes, the included anti-allergy quilted protector is fully waterproof to protect the mattress core.

Can I wash the entire mattress core?

No, only the zip-off cover and the mattress protector are machine washable. The internal core should be kept dry.

What is Purotex?

Purotex is a treatment containing natural probiotics that helps keep the mattress free from dust mites and other common allergens.

When should I flip the mattress?

The mattress should be flipped when your child transitions from a baby to a toddler, usually as they become more mobile and require a different level of support.

Is this mattress suitable for all cotbeds?

It fits all standard 140x70cm cotbeds. Please verify your cotbed's interior dimensions before purchase.

Troubleshooting

Cover feels slightly tight after washing

Ensure the cover is completely dry and stretched evenly over the corners before zipping. Avoid high-heat tumble drying to prevent shrinking.

Mattress feels too soft for a newborn

Verify that you are using the correct 'infant' side of the dual-core mattress, as one side is designed specifically for greater firmness.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Dual-sided support accommodates growth stages
Hypoallergenic Purotex treatment for sensitive sleepers
Easy-to-remove machine washable cover
Excellent temperature regulation via Airmesh technology
Includes a high-quality, waterproof protective layer

Cons

Requires specific care to maintain Purotex effectiveness
Standard cotbed size only; not suitable for non-standard cribs
Higher initial investment than basic foam mattresses

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Ensure the mattress is placed on a flat, firm cotbed base that meets current safety standards. Upon arrival, allow the mattress to settle for a few hours before fitting the protector. To care for the system, zip off the outer cover and machine wash according to the label instructions. The quilted protector should also be washed regularly to maintain its anti-allergy properties. Always ensure the mattress cover is completely dry before re-fitting to the core, and avoid using harsh chemicals or industrial detergents that may degrade the Purotex treatment.
