The Pelgar Vertox 25 Oktablok II is designed for professional pest control operators and experienced homeowners looking to eliminate persistent rat and mouse infestations effectively. Its primary benefit is the inclusion of the potent anticoagulant Brodifacoum, which ensures a lethal dose with a single feeding, though it must be used with extreme caution due to its high toxicity to non-target animals and humans.

No. This product is highly toxic. It must only be used inside secure, tamper-resistant bait stations that are inaccessible to pets.
As a second-generation anticoagulant, rodents typically perish 3 to 7 days after consuming a lethal dose.
No. Always wear protective gloves to prevent scent contamination and to protect yourself from exposure to the active ingredient.
Seek veterinary attention immediately. The antidote for Brodifacoum is Vitamin K1.
Follow the application rates on the product label; typically, 2-3 blocks per station for rats and 1 block for mice.
Ensure the bait station is in a high-traffic area. If competition with other food sources exists, remove alternative food to encourage bait intake.
Secure the blocks using a metal rod or wire inside the station to prevent rodents from dragging them out.
Proper setup is critical for both effectiveness and safety. Always wear gloves when handling the blocks to avoid leaving human scent, which can deter rodents. Ensure the area is kept clean of competing food sources to encourage the rodents to target the bait stations first. Store unused blocks in their original, tightly closed packaging in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from food or animal feed. Never dispose of unused bait in general waste; follow local environmental regulations for chemical waste disposal.
