Care & Maintenance
Proper care will preserve the brilliance and longevity of your cutlery set for its guaranteed 50-year lifespan.
- Dishwashing: While the set is dishwasher safe, use a mild, non-citrus detergent. Load cutlery with handles down (knives with blades down for safety) to ensure thorough cleaning. Remove cutlery promptly after the wash cycle completes and dry by hand with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and maintain shine.
- Hand Washing (Recommended): For optimal preservation of the hammered texture and original brilliance, hand washing is advised. Use warm water, a mild non-abrasive dish soap, and a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and immediately dry each piece completely with a soft, lint-free towel. This prevents mineral deposits from hard water and protects the finish.
- Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or scouring pads, as these can scratch the stainless steel and dull the hammered finish.
- Food Residue: Avoid leaving food residues (especially acidic foods like lemon, vinegar, or highly salted items) on the cutlery for extended periods, as this can lead to pitting or discoloration.
- Storage: Store cutlery in a dry environment. Consider using a cutlery tray or caddy to prevent pieces from scratching each other.
