Its unrivalled chemical technology reduces circulation time significantly. The cleaner targets and dissolves corrosion debris, works effectively in cold systems, and is ideal for powerflushing. Each bottle contains 1 litre.
Calmag HV HV800PF Fast Acting Power Flush cleaner eliminates magnetite and limescale deposits from heat exchangers, radiators, underfloor heating systems, and pipework. It restores more uniform heat distribution in existing installations, leading to a better heated home and reduced energy bills.
Featuring a unique formulation that combines 3 different chemical technologies, the rapid sludge remover formula penetrates and dissolves corrosion and limescale deposits for fast and effective removal during cleaning. It functions as a dispersing agent under neutral pH conditions, addressing concerns associated with traditional acidic cleaners. The product is non-toxic and 100% biodegradable, making it environmentally safe.
Its formulation also includes agents that protect system metals against corrosion during cleaning and prepare the installation for the addition of Calmag HV HV100 Inhibitor.
One litre of Calmag HV HV800PF Fast Acting Power Flush cleaner is sufficient for a typical system with up to 10 radiators. For larger systems, 2 litres should be used. A higher concentration is recommended for badly fouled systems, i.e., 2 litres for a typical system. Please note, this product will not clear a completely blocked pipe.
HV800PF is non-hazardous and has zero COSHH rating. A Safety Data Sheet and a COSHH Data Sheet are available upon request.
This 2-pack of Calmag HV HV800PF Fast Acting Power Flush cleaner is designed for owners of older central heating systems looking to quickly restore efficiency. Its key benefit is the rapid removal of corrosion and scale in just 1 hour, significantly reducing circulation time. A caveat to note is that it cannot clear a completely blocked pipe. Key features include advanced chemical technology for fast cleaning, suitability for cold systems, environmental safety with a biodegradable and non-toxic formula, and corrosion protection during the cleaning process.

FAQs
How long does the Calmag HV HV800PF cleaner take to work?
The fast-acting formula works in as little as 1 hour of circulation. For heavily fouled systems, longer circulation may be beneficial.
Can this product clear a completely blocked pipe?
No, this product is designed to remove corrosion deposits and scale. It will not clear a pipe that is completely blocked with solid debris.
Is the cleaner safe for my heating system?
Yes, the cleaner features a unique formulation that works under neutral pH conditions and includes agents that protect system metals against corrosion during cleaning. It is also non-toxic and 100% biodegradable.
Do I need to add an inhibitor after using this cleaner?
Yes, it is highly recommended to add a suitable corrosion inhibitor, such as Calmag HV HV100 Inhibitor, after thoroughly flushing the system and refilling it to protect against future corrosion.
How much cleaner should I use?
For a typical system with up to 10 radiators, one 1-litre bottle is sufficient. For larger systems or badly fouled systems, it is recommended to use two 1-litre bottles.
What should I do if the system is still not efficient after cleaning?
Ensure the system was thoroughly flushed and refilled. If problems persist, it may indicate more severe blockages or other system issues that require further investigation or professional servicing.
Troubleshooting
System still not heating evenly after cleaning
Ensure the system was thoroughly flushed of all cleaner residue. Check if any pipes were completely blocked, as this product cannot clear total blockages. Consider a second cleaning or a professional powerflush if significant blockages are suspected.
Leak detected after cleaning and refilling
Check all radiator valves, connections, and bleed points. It's possible that the cleaning process has dislodged debris that was previously sealing a minor leak, or that a joint was weakened. Tighten connections as needed and re-check for leaks.
Cleaner not circulating effectively
Verify that the central heating pump is running and that all radiator valves are fully open. Ensure the system has been filled correctly and there are no airlocks preventing circulation.
