The THE RUGS Tangier Shaggy Rug is an ideal choice for homeowners looking to add warmth and a touch of modern Moroccan flair to narrow spaces like hallways or bedside areas. Its primary benefit is the luxurious 30mm thick pile that offers exceptional comfort underfoot while remaining durable enough for high-traffic zones. While its plush texture provides a cozy atmosphere, potential buyers should note that the high pile requires regular maintenance to prevent debris from settling deep within the fibers.

Yes, the materials used are heat-resistant and compatible with underfloor heating systems.
Blot the area immediately with a clean, white cloth. Avoid scrubbing, as this can damage the pile structure.
The rug features a 30mm thick high pile for maximum comfort.
Yes, it is OEKO-TEX certified, ensuring it has been tested for harmful substances.
No, due to the dimensions and the 30mm pile, it is not suitable for machine washing. Spot cleaning is recommended.
Lay the rug flat and place heavy, flat objects on the corners for 24-48 hours, or back-roll it to counteract the packaging curl.
Gently shake the rug or use your fingers to fluff up the fibers. Regular vacuuming helps keep the pile standing upright.
Ensure your vacuum is set to the highest height setting and avoid using a beater bar, which can pull at the shag fibers.
Upon arrival, the rug may have slight creases from being rolled. To flatten, lay the rug out in a warm room or back-roll it against the curl for a few hours. For daily care, use a vacuum cleaner without a rotating brush bar to avoid damaging the shaggy fibers. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth—do not rub, as this can push stains deeper into the pile. If a professional clean is required, we recommend using a specialist rug cleaning service rather than attempting to machine wash it.
