Setup, Compatibility & Care
To maximize the life of your braid, ensure the line is spooled under tension onto your reel; using a damp cloth while winding it on can help achieve a tight pack. When attaching the braid to your reel, use a backing of monofilament to prevent the entire spool from slipping. Avoid using abrasive line cutters that can fray the SK60 fibres; instead, use sharp scissors designed for braid. Periodically check the first few metres of the line for wear if you are fishing over rocky or snaggy bottoms, and trim back any sections that appear frayed or weakened.
