Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The MPU6050 connects to your host controller (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Arduino) via its I²C interface. Connect the VCC pin to your controller's power output (3.3V or 5V), GND to ground, SCL to the SCL pin, and SDA to the SDA pin of your controller.
Compatibility: This sensor is highly compatible with microcontrollers and single-board computers that support I²C communication, including:
- Raspberry Pi
- Arduino boards
- micro:bit
Care: Keep the sensor clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or physical shock. Static discharge can damage sensitive electronic components, so handle with care, especially when not mounted on a PCB with proper ESD protection.
Software: You will need to use appropriate libraries for your chosen development platform to read data from the MPU6050. Many libraries are available for Arduino IDE and Python (for Raspberry Pi) that simplify sensor data acquisition.
