Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Before installation, ensure the skirting boards are acclimated to the room's environment. Lightly sand the primed surface with fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 240-grit) to ensure optimal adhesion for paint or gloss. Cut boards to size using a fine-tooth saw for clean edges. Install using appropriate wood adhesives and/or nails, ensuring a snug fit against the wall and floor.
Compatibility:
This skirting board is compatible with most standard wall and flooring types. It is suitable for installation in most interior rooms, including living areas, bedrooms, and hallways. Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and free from dust before applying adhesive.
Care:
Clean the skirting board with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, as this can damage the MDF. For maintenance, touch up the painted or glossed finish as needed to keep it looking fresh. The moisture-resistant nature of the MDF provides a degree of protection, but it is not intended for direct contact with water or high-humidity environments like bathrooms or showers without proper sealing.
