Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This is an integrated model, meaning it is designed to be built into a kitchen wall unit above the hob. Installation requires knowledge of kitchen fitting and potentially electrical and ventilation systems. It can be configured for either ducted extraction (venting air outside the home) or recirculating extraction (filtering air and returning it to the kitchen). Consult the installation manual for detailed instructions specific to your chosen setup.
Compatibility:
- Hob Size: Compatible with standard 60cm wide hobs.
- Cabinetry: Requires a standard kitchen wall unit designed to accommodate a 60cm wide hood. Ensure sufficient space for the hood's dimensions (H: 208mm, W: 598mm, D: 300mm) and any necessary ventilation ducting or recirculation components.
- Ventilation: Can be used with either external ducting or with recirculating filters (carbon filters often sold separately).
Care:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Metal Grease Filters: These filters should be removed and cleaned regularly, typically every 1-3 months depending on usage. They can often be washed by hand with warm, soapy water or in a dishwasher (check manufacturer recommendations).
- Carbon Filters (Recirculating): If used in recirculating mode, carbon filters will need replacing periodically (usually every 6-12 months) as they become saturated and lose their odor-filtering effectiveness. They are not washable.
- LED Lighting: The LED bulbs are designed for longevity and are typically not user-replaceable. Contact support if they fail.
