St Hippolyt Equiguard Muesli is a grain-free diet, free from molasses, ideal for horses suffering with EMS or Cushings. Equi Guard has been specifically designed for horses and ponies requiring a diet low in sugar and protein such as those suffering from metabolic disorders such as the Equine Metabolic Syndrome, laminitis and Equine Cushing's Syndrome. This feed has a high feed volume and low energy content, which contains a special range of minerals to maintain and support the carbohydrate and fat metabolism. It is free from grain and molasses, low in starch and sugar content, rich in low glycemic fibres, high feed volume - low energy content, and contains herbs, ground algae, oils and oleaginous fruits. A grain-free diet is also particularly important with equine myopathies such as Typing-up, PSSM and rhabdomyolysis as well as with gastric ulcers.
