Clean the wood surface thoroughly to remove any dirt, dust, or old finishes. Sand the surface lightly if necessary to create a smooth surface. Ensure the wood is completely dry before applying the wax.
No, this wax is designed for interior use only. Using it outdoors may lead to premature degradation of the finish.
Reapplication frequency depends on the wear and tear the surface experiences. Generally, you may need to reapply the wax every six months to a year, or as needed to maintain the desired sheen and protection.
Use a clean, lint-free cloth to apply the wax. Old t-shirts or microfiber cloths work well.
No, this wax is designed for use on bare or previously treated wood surfaces. Applying it over paint will not provide the intended benefits.
Steel wool can help achieve a brilliant finish, but a clean cloth can also be used. For a very smooth finish, use extra fine steel wool, and always follow the grain.
Ensure the wax is applied evenly and buffed thoroughly along the wood grain. Multiple thin coats are better than one thick coat.
Make sure the room is well-ventilated and that the surface is clean and dry before application. Check the product's expiration date.
Too much wax was applied. Buff the surface vigorously with a clean cloth or steel wool to remove excess wax.
To apply Ronseal Colron Refined Finishing Wax, follow these steps:
Compatibility: This wax is compatible with most interior wood surfaces. Always test in an inconspicuous area first to check for compatibility and desired finish.
Care: Regularly dust the treated surface with a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Reapply wax as needed to maintain protection and sheen.
