FAQs
Is this cable waterproof?
It is IP44 rated, meaning it is splash-proof and suitable for outdoor use, but it should not be submerged in water.
Can I connect multiple 5m cables together?
While it is possible to extend the reach, please consult the Saxby Kios kit manual to ensure you do not exceed the maximum total length or power load supported by your transformer.
Does this work with other brands of decking lights?
No, this cable is specifically designed for the Saxby Kios 99562 system and uses proprietary 2-pin connectors.
What does 24AWG mean?
24AWG refers to the thickness of the internal wiring, which is appropriate for the low-voltage power requirements of LED plinth lighting.
Can I bury this cable underground?
It is recommended to run this cable through conduit if buried to protect it from soil moisture and potential damage from gardening tools.
Troubleshooting
Lights do not turn on after connecting the extension
Check that the 2-pin connectors are fully seated and that the power supply to the main Kios kit is active.
Flickering lights along the chain
Ensure the connection points are clean and dry, and verify the extension is not being pulled tight or pinched by furniture.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, simply align the 2-pin connectors on the extension cable with the corresponding sockets on your existing Saxby Kios lighting kit. Ensure the connection is pushed firmly together until the seal is secure. When routing the cable, avoid sharp bends or stretching, and secure the cable along walls or beneath decking using appropriate clips to prevent trip hazards or mechanical damage. While the product is IP44 rated, it is recommended to keep connectors shielded from prolonged standing water. Inspect the cable periodically for signs of wear or damage to the casing to ensure continued performance.
