The Meross MS605 is designed for smart home enthusiasts who require precise, reliable presence detection without relying on cloud-based dependencies or proprietary bridges. By combining mmWave radar and PIR technology, it offers superior sensitivity for automation, even detecting micro-movements like breathing, though users should note that optimal performance requires a Thread Border Router within their ecosystem.

No, the MS605 uses Matter over Thread, which allows it to communicate directly with any Matter-certified ecosystem controller.
mmWave radar can potentially detect motion through thin partitions or glass; it is recommended to adjust the sensitivity in settings if you experience unwanted triggering.
The sensor detects presence up to 4 meters and general motion up to 6 meters.
Yes, it is designed for battery-powered operation for flexible placement anywhere in the home.
No, the MS605 contains no cameras or microphones, ensuring your privacy is fully protected.
Yes, because it uses the Matter protocol, it integrates seamlessly with Home Assistant via a compatible Thread-capable controller.
Verify the Thread network connection and ensure the sensor is within range of a Thread Border Router.
Adjust the sensitivity settings in the app or move the sensor away from air vents or oscillating fans that may cause false radar reflections.
Restart your Thread Border Router and check if the sensor battery is fully charged.
To set up the MS605, ensure your home network has an active Thread Border Router (such as a HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K, or compatible smart display). Use the Meross app or your preferred Matter-certified controller to scan the setup code. For mounting, use the included hardware for corner or ceiling installation, ensuring the sensor face is not obstructed by furniture. To maintain performance, wipe the sensor surface with a dry cloth periodically to prevent dust buildup. While the device is waterproof, avoid submerging it directly in water. Replace the batteries as indicated by your smart home dashboard to ensure continuous uptime.
