Product Information
Full details
The Korum Marka-Flex is designed for anglers who need a reliable, high-visibility solution for marking fishing lines at specific distances. Ideal for use with both monofilament and braided main lines, this ultra-durable elastic cord offers a low-profile knot that won't impede casting while ensuring a secure grip. While it excels at maintaining accuracy when clipped up, users should ensure they tie secure knots to prevent the marker from shifting during repeated casting.

FAQs
Can I use Korum Marka-Flex on braid?
Yes, it is specifically designed to grip both monofilament and braided lines securely without causing damage.
Will this marker damage my main line?
No, the material is designed to be soft yet grippy, ensuring that the main line remains intact even after repeated use.
Is the orange color visible at night?
While the orange is highly visible during daylight, it is a pigmented color and not self-illuminating, though it may catch light from a headtorch.
How do I remove the marker from the line?
You can untie the knot by pushing the loops apart or simply cut it off using line-friendly scissors.
Can I reuse the marker after moving it?
It is recommended to tie a fresh marker each time you change distances to ensure maximum grip and knot integrity.
Troubleshooting
Marker knot sliding on the line
Ensure the knot is sufficiently lubricated with water or saliva before tightening to allow for a tighter bind around the main line.
Knot catching in rod guides
Trim the tag ends of the marker knot as short as possible and ensure you are using a standard, low-profile knot like a Grinner.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Extremely low-profile prevents guide tangles
- Does not damage or fray main lines
- High-visibility color for easy identification
- Easier to knot than traditional, stiffer elastic markers
Cons
- Requires careful knotting to stay in place
- Single color option (Orange) may not suit all environmental conditions
- Length management requires manual trimming
Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Attaching: Use a knot that can be pulled tight, such as a tucked half-blood knot or a small Grinner knot. Ensure the marker is trimmed close to the knot for the slimmest profile.
- Compatibility: Compatible with all standard monofilament, fluorocarbon, and braided main lines.
- Care: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent UV degradation of the material. After a session, check the knot for any slippage and re-tighten if necessary.
- Removal: When changing distances, simply slide the knot off the end of the line or cut it carefully with line scissors to avoid nicking the main line.
