Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Sowing: Sow seeds 2cm deep in pots of good seed compost at 21-25°C from April to May.
- Transplanting: Transplant well-grown plants at a spacing of 2 plants per growbag or 1m apart under frost-free glass, or into frames or cloches outdoors.
- Acclimatization: Gradually acclimatize plants to outdoor conditions before planting out.
- Structure: Grow up a wigwam structure, or space 1.5m apart each way in well-prepared soil.
- Watering: Keep compost moist but not wet.
- Sunlight: Ensure plants receive full sun.
- Soil: Plant in well-prepared soil.
*Care*: Water regularly, especially during dry spells. Consider using a balanced fertilizer to promote fruit development. Monitor for pests and diseases and address any issues promptly.
