The Sealey VSE5871A Diesel Engine Timing Tool Kit is an essential maintenance solution designed for professional mechanics and automotive enthusiasts working on Renault, Nissan, Vauxhall, Opel, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, and Dacia vehicles equipped with 1.5D, 1.9D, 2.2D, and 2.5D dCi engines. By providing precision-engineered locking pins and alignment plates, this kit ensures accurate camshaft and crankshaft synchronization during timing belt replacements. While it is highly specialized for specific engine codes like K9K and F9Q, users should verify their exact engine code before purchase to ensure full compatibility.

No, this kit is exclusively designed for the specified Renault/Nissan diesel (dCi) engines.
The kit supports K9K, F9Q, G9T, and G9U engine codes.
While the tools are high quality, timing belt replacement is a safety-critical task that should only be performed by those with appropriate mechanical training.
Yes, this kit provides the locking and setting tools; you will still require standard wrenches, socket sets, and tension gauges as specified by your vehicle's maintenance manual.
If the vehicle is equipped with a compatible dCi engine (e.g., 1.5 K9K), it will work, but you must confirm your specific engine code before use.
Verify the engine is at the exact Top Dead Center (TDC) position and ensure there is no carbon buildup in the locking aperture.
Double-check that you are using the correct tool for your specific engine code; refer to the vehicle service manual for the designated timing points.
To use the VSE5871A effectively, ensure the engine is at the manufacturer-specified position before inserting any locking pins. Always consult your vehicle's service manual for the specific procedure related to your engine code (K9K, F9Q, G9T, or G9U). Keep the tools clean and free of debris to ensure a snug fit in the timing apertures. After use, wipe the tools with a light coat of oil to prevent surface oxidation, and store them in their provided case to avoid losing individual components, as each piece is critical for the set to function correctly.
