Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the equipment is powered off and the hydraulic system is depressurized.
- Locate the old hydraulic filter.
- Using an appropriate filter wrench, carefully unscrew and remove the old filter.
- Clean the filter mounting surface on the equipment to ensure a good seal.
- Lightly lubricate the rubber gasket on the new MANN-FILTER W1374/2 with clean hydraulic fluid.
- Screw the new filter on by hand until the gasket makes contact with the mounting surface.
- Tighten the filter an additional 3/4 to 1 full turn by hand, following manufacturer recommendations for torque if specified.
- Refill hydraulic fluid if necessary and restart the equipment, checking for leaks.
Compatibility:
This filter is designed as a direct replacement for numerous OEM part numbers, including:
- VOLVO: 58832411
- BOMAG: 330 172 019
- CASE IH: 215514A1
- LIEBHERR: 761 6098
- CLAAS: 0679 433 0
Always verify compatibility with your specific equipment's service manual or parts list before installation.
Care:
- Regular Replacement: Hydraulic filters have a finite lifespan. Consult your equipment's service manual for the recommended replacement interval (often based on operating hours or time).
- Fluid Quality: While the filter removes contaminants, maintaining the overall quality and level of hydraulic fluid is also critical.
- Visual Inspection: Periodically inspect the filter for signs of damage or excessive external debris, which might indicate a problem elsewhere in the system.
