How many people can comfortably sleep in the Edmonds 6 TC?

The tent has a comfort sleeping capacity for 6 people, with three dedicated Ambassador Master Bedrooms.

Is the Outwell Light System included with the tent?

No, the tent is prepared for the Outwell Light System, but the lighting system and its power source (USB-C) must be purchased separately.

What are the dimensions when packed?

The pack size is 84 x 39 x 43 cm.

What is the total weight of the tent?

The total weight of the tent is 37.1 kg.

How long does it take to set up the tent?

The estimated setup time is 12 minutes to be ready to move in, and 28 minutes for complete pitching.

Troubleshooting

Tent leaks water

Check that all seams are properly sealed. Ensure guylines are taut and the groundsheet is correctly positioned. For persistent leaks, consider using a seam sealant specifically designed for outdoor gear.

Condensation inside the tent

Maximize ventilation by opening mesh panels and vents, especially during warmer weather or when cooking. Ensure inner tent vents are clear. Polycotton fabric is breathable, but good ventilation is key.

Poles are difficult to insert or remove

Ensure poles are correctly aligned and not bent. Check pole sleeves for any obstructions. Apply a silicone-based lubricant sparingly to pole sections if necessary.

Zippers are stiff or snagging

Gently pull the fabric away from the zipper track to prevent snagging. Apply a zipper lubricant or graphite pencil to the teeth to improve smooth operation.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Unpack all components and identify the flysheet, inner tents, poles, and groundsheet.
Lay out the flysheet on a clear, flat surface.
Assemble the PowerTec poles and insert them into the corresponding pole sleeves on the flysheet.
Pitch the tent by connecting the poles to the designated points, raising the structure.
Secure the tent using the guylines and pegs, ensuring it is taut and stable.
Hang the inner tents inside the sleeping compartments and attach the groundsheet if separate.

Compatibility:

The tent is prepared for the Outwell Light System. You will need a compatible USB-C power source (not included) to operate the lighting.

Care:

Drying: Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mildew and fabric damage. If packing away wet, dry it thoroughly as soon as possible at home.
Cleaning: Clean the tent with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
Storage: Store the tent in a cool, dry place. Ensure it is not compressed tightly for long periods to maintain fabric integrity.
