FAQs

Is this spanner suitable for heavy-duty industrial work?

Yes, it is designed to meet strict industry standards for both hardness and torque, making it suitable for professional and industrial repair tasks.

Can I use this on 18mm or 20mm bolts?

No, this tool is precision-engineered for 19mm fasteners. Using it on other sizes will likely result in damage to the bolt head.

Does the chrome finish peel off over time?

Dapetz uses high-quality chrome plating designed for durability. With proper care and avoidance of extreme impact, the finish remains intact.

How should I store this tool to prevent rust?

Keep it in a dry environment, such as a toolbox or drawer. If it gets wet or exposed to chemicals, wipe it down immediately after use.

Why is there an offset on the open end?

The 15-degree offset allows you to flip the spanner over to reach fasteners in tight spots where you cannot rotate the tool a full 360 degrees.

Troubleshooting

Spanner slips on a bolt head

Ensure the bolt is exactly 19mm and that the spanner is seated fully onto the head; check the fastener for rounded edges or damage.

Surface appears dull or shows minor spotting

Clean the surface with a metal polish to restore the mirror finish and ensure it is stored in a less humid environment.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Durable chrome finish resists rust and corrosion effectively
Ergonomic oval beam improves grip comfort
12-point ring design prevents fastener slippage
Easy to clean due to high-polish surface
Professional-grade torque capacity

Cons

Fixed 19mm size limits versatility for varying hardware
Requires a separate set for other fastener sizes
Not intended for non-standard bolt head profiles

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Using this spanner requires no setup; it is a "grab-and-go" tool. Ensure that you have verified your bolt or nut size as exactly 19mm before application to prevent stripping the hardware.

Care Instructions:

Cleaning: After use in oily or greasy conditions, wipe the tool down with a clean, lint-free cloth. Because of the mirror finish, most debris can be removed with a light degreaser.
Storage: Store the spanner in a dry tool chest or wall rack to maintain the integrity of the chrome plating.
Inspection: Periodically check for cracks or signs of metal fatigue if the tool has been used for extreme high-torque industrial applications.
