Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Before your first application, ensure your skin is clean, moisturized, and primed (if using a primer). If the concealer comes with a twist or click mechanism, turn or press it until the product dispenses onto the applicator. For wand applicators, simply pull out the wand. Always apply concealer after foundation for best results, unless you're going for a 'no-makeup' look, in which case apply it directly to moisturized skin.
Compatibility
This concealer's comfortable wear suggests broad compatibility with various skin types.
- For Oily Skin: To prolong wear and control shine, consider setting the concealer with a light dusting of translucent powder, especially in the T-zone.
- For Dry Skin: Ensure your skin is well-hydrated with a good moisturizer or eye cream before application to prevent the concealer from emphasizing dry patches or creasing.
- General: If you have known skin sensitivities, it's always advisable to perform a patch test on a small area of skin before full facial application.
Product Care
- Storage: Store your concealer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to maintain its formulation and longevity.
- Hygiene: To prevent bacterial contamination, avoid sharing your concealer. If the applicator touches your skin directly, you may wish to gently wipe it clean with a tissue after each use before placing it back into the tube.
- Shelf Life: Pay attention to the 'Period After Opening' (PAO) symbol on the packaging, typically indicated by an open jar icon with a number (e.g., `6M`, `12M`), and discard the product after this period to ensure optimal performance and safety.
