The Gooseberry Ribes uva-crispa Hinnomaki Yellow is a hardy bush that produces a heavy crop of medium-sized, greenish-yellow fruits. It offers an aromatic flavour with a hint of apricot, and the berries are ready to harvest from June to mid-July. This plant can reach a height and spread of up to 120cm (48 inches). It thrives in an open, sunny position on any well-drained soil. For best results, incorporate well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil before planting. Remove any shoots or dormant buds from the base of the plant to prevent unwanted suckers. Gooseberries should be planted 1.5m (5ft) apart at their original depth. Supplied as one 9cm potted plant, delivered with growing and care instructions. Please note that plant height and spread vary seasonally, and images are for guidance only.
