The unit is built with a weatherproof design intended for standard outdoor conditions.
The earth stake should be driven deep enough to reach moist soil to ensure an effective ground connection.
Yes, it is suitable for various livestock containment needs, including perimeter fencing up to 10km.
Check for weeds or branches touching the wire, and ensure the earth stake is in moist soil.
Inspect all lead connections and ensure the fence wire is not broken.
Check the fence line for shorts and verify that the battery is holding a full charge.
To begin, locate a suitable site for the energiser near your fencing start point. Connect the fence lead to the fence wire and the ground lead to the included earth stake, which should be driven firmly into the ground. Attach the battery clips to a fully charged 12V battery. To ensure a long service life, clean the battery terminals regularly to prevent corrosion and check the fence line periodically for vegetation growth, which can 'short' the fence and drain your battery prematurely. Store the unit in a dry location if you plan to stop using it for extended periods during the winter.
