FAQs
Can this pole be cut to a shorter length?
Yes, the pole can be trimmed to fit your specific space using a standard hacksaw, though you should ensure the cut is clean for a proper fit into end caps.
Is this handrail suitable for outdoor use?
No, this product is specifically designed for indoor environments and may degrade if exposed to weather.
Does this package include wall brackets?
No, the 1.2-metre pole is sold as a standalone section. Brackets, end caps, and other mounting hardware must be purchased separately.
What is the diameter of the pole?
The pole features a standard 40mm diameter, making it compatible with all Handrails Direct 40mm accessories.
How do I maintain the grey finish?
Use a soft, dry cloth for dusting. If a deeper clean is required, use a damp cloth with mild soap and ensure the pole is dried thoroughly afterward.
Troubleshooting
Pole feels loose in the brackets
Ensure that the mounting screws provided with your brackets are fully tightened and that the bracket is securely anchored to the wall substrate.
Difficulty connecting multiple sections
Verify that you are using genuine Handrails Direct 40mm compatible connectors. Ensure no debris or paint buildup is inside the ends of the pole.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the Luddington pole is designed to be accessible for home users. To set it up, determine the placement of your wall brackets first, ensuring they are anchored into solid structural members or appropriate wall anchors. The pole is compatible with the standard range of Handrails Direct 40mm accessories; simply slide the pole into the receiving sockets or brackets and secure using the manufacturer-recommended fixings.
For ongoing care, wipe the textured surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the textured finish over time.
