Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure success, plant your Iris Blue Magic bulbs during the autumn or winter months in fertile, well-draining soil. Dig a hole approximately three times the depth of the bulb to protect it from temperature fluctuations and pests. Space bulbs roughly 10-15 cm apart to allow for proper airflow and root expansion. For containers, use a high-quality, free-draining potting mix. Once the flowering period concludes in mid-summer, allow the foliage to die back naturally before trimming, as this provides the bulb with the energy needed to store nutrients for the following year's growth. Avoid waterlogged soil, which is the primary cause of poor performance or bulb failure.
