The Joseph Joseph Juicemax Citrus Press is designed for lemons, limes, and small oranges or tangerines. It is not suitable for larger citrus fruits like grapefruits.

Yes, for your convenience, the entire Juicemax Citrus Press is dishwasher safe. You can place it in the top rack of your dishwasher for easy cleaning.

To maximize juice yield, ensure your fruit is fresh and ripe. Use both stages of the press: first, firmly squeeze the handles to crush the fruit, then twist the knob on top to ream out any remaining juice.

The Juicemax Citrus Press measures approximately 10 x 8 x 22 cm (4 x 3 x 8½ inches), making it compact for storage.

Yes, the design incorporates holes in the base that allow the juice to flow freely while effectively trapping seeds and most pulp, ensuring clean juice.

While it can handle most standard lemons, extremely large lemons might be a tight fit. It's primarily optimized for average-sized lemons, limes, and small oranges.

Ensure the fruit is fresh and ripe. Make sure you are performing both stages: first crushing with the handles, then twisting the knob to ream thoroughly. Applying steady, firm pressure during both steps will maximize juice extraction.

Check that the fruit half is properly centered and seated on the reaming head. Ensure the holes in the base are not obstructed by fruit flesh, which can sometimes happen with very soft or overripe fruit. Clear any blockages before reaming.

Ensure the fruit is cut cleanly in half. Some firmness is expected for effective crushing. If you find it consistently difficult, consider cutting the fruit into smaller wedges if possible, although this might affect the reaming stage. For very firm fruit, a brief microwave for 10-15 seconds can soften it slightly.

Rinse the press immediately after juicing under warm water. If pulp has dried, soak the press in warm, soapy water for a few minutes before scrubbing gently with a brush or sponge. It is also dishwasher safe for a more thorough clean.
