Yes, this KVM switch is fully compatible with USB-based Mac systems.
You can daisy-chain up to 4 additional switches to expand the control of multiple systems.
It supports resolutions up to 2048x1536 at 85Hz, which is excellent for general professional use, though it is not designed for high-refresh-rate gaming displays.
No, this is a hardware-based KVM switch and does not require specific software drivers to operate on supported operating systems.
Verify that all cables are firmly seated and that the KVM is set to the correct active port.
Ensure the USB connections are secure and the computer has recognized the HID (Human Interface Device) driver upon boot.
Check that the daisy-chain cable is securely connected to the dedicated ports on both units and that both switches are powered.
To begin your setup, connect the included 12V DC power supply to the switch. Ensure all computers are powered off during the initial connection of the KVM cables (not included). Connect your display, keyboard, and mouse to the console ports on the rear of the unit.
Compatibility Note: This unit requires standard KVM-specific cables to function correctly; standard VGA/USB cables may not be wired to support KVM switching functionality. To maintain the device, keep the ventilation ports free of dust and ensure that cables are not bent at sharp angles near the connection points, as this can degrade signal quality over time.
