No, this is a dedicated Star (TORX) driver designed specifically for Tx20 head screws.
While the magnetism is permanent, accumulation of metallic dust can reduce its effectiveness. Keeping the tip clean will maintain its holding strength.
The screwdriver is built for standard fasteners; avoid using excessive force or leverage beyond what is possible with manual hand strength.
The bi-material handle is durable, but avoid exposing it to strong industrial solvents or extreme heat.
Tx20 refers to the specific size of the Star/TORX drive, which is a common standard for various furniture and hardware fasteners.
Wipe the black phosphate tip clean with a cloth to remove dust or metallic shavings that may interfere with the magnetic attraction.
Ensure the screw is a standard Tx20 size and check the screw head for damage or debris that may prevent the tool from entering fully.
This screwdriver requires no assembly; it is ready to use straight from the package. To ensure longevity, follow these care guidelines: 1. Keep the tip clean of debris and oil to maintain maximum magnetism. 2. Store in a dry, ventilated area to prevent surface oxidation. 3. Avoid using the tool as a chisel or pry bar, as the high-tempered steel is optimized for rotational force, not lateral impact. When cleaning, wipe the shaft with a lightly oiled cloth if exposed to moisture, and ensure the handle is kept away from harsh solvents that may degrade the bi-material grip.
