Product Information
Full details
Prevent voltage spikes during electronic repairs with this iFixit antistatic wrist strap. The polyester and stainless steel weave offers dependable durability for long-lasting use, while the elastic band with an adjustable buckle provides a customized fit. This 6-foot iFixit antistatic wrist strap has a clip for a secure connection, and the 1-megaohm resistance slows discharges, protecting the user and equipment from shocks. Simple movements such as lifting one foot off the floor or raising one arm from a conductive table mat may change body capacitance by as much as 10% to 30%. Uncontrolled, the capacitively created voltage may reach several hundred volts or more.
