The Knipex 50 01 180 Carpenters Pincers are professional-grade hand tools designed for craftsmen who require superior leverage and durability for heavy-duty gripping and cutting tasks. Engineered with high-quality special tool steel and oil-hardened for extreme wear resistance, these pincers offer precise performance in demanding work environments, though their specific design is optimized for specialized tasks rather than general-purpose pliers.

These pincers are designed for a maximum pipe or wire diameter of 2 mm.
No, these are standard metal pincers and do not feature insulated handles required for electrical safety.
The cutting edges are hardened to approximately 60 HRC for superior durability.
The total length of the Knipex 50 01 180 is 180 mm.
It is forged from high-quality special tool steel and oil-hardened.
While precise, these are designed for heavy-duty tasks and may be too bulky or coarse for delicate jewelry work.
Clean the hinge of any debris and apply a small amount of light machine oil to the pivot point.
Check the edges for signs of damage or extreme dulling. If the edges are intact but dirty, clean them thoroughly. Avoid cutting materials harder than the recommended 2 mm capacity.
Lightly sand away surface rust with a fine-grit abrasive pad and wipe down the tool with anti-corrosive oil to seal the metal.
As a manual hand tool, the Knipex 50 01 180 requires no setup. To maintain the life of your pincers, ensure they are kept clean of debris. After use in damp or dusty environments, wipe the metal surface with a clean cloth and apply a light machine oil to prevent corrosion. Periodically check the hinge to ensure smooth operation; if the movement becomes stiff, a drop of lubricant applied to the pivot joint will restore functionality. Avoid using these pincers on materials exceeding the 2 mm diameter limit to prevent chipping the hardened edges.
