FAQs
What are the dimensions of the Astral Jar?
Specific dimensions are not provided, but it is designed to be a compact decorative piece for surfaces like bedside or dressing tables.
Can the jar be used for food storage?
While it can hold dry goods, it is primarily intended as a decorative vessel and not for long-term or airtight food storage.
Is the pink color throughout the glass?
Yes, the jar is crafted from fully transparent glass in a deep pink hue, meaning the color is integral to the glass itself.
Can I put this in the dishwasher?
No, it is recommended to hand wash the jar gently with a damp cloth to preserve the glass quality and decorative finish.
What kind of items is this jar best suited for storing?
It is ideal for small, precious items such as jewelry, hairpins, cufflinks, small stationery items, or decorative trinkets.
Does the lid provide an airtight seal?
The lid is designed to cover the opening and protect from dust, but it does not provide an airtight seal.
Troubleshooting
Jar appears cloudy or has smudges
Clean with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild glass cleaner and wipe dry with a lint-free cloth.
Lid does not fit securely
Ensure both the jar rim and the lid are clean and dry. Check for any debris. The lid is designed to rest in place; it does not have a seal.
Visible scratches on the glass surface
Minor surface scratches can occur with normal use. Avoid placing abrasive objects inside or against the exterior. Professional glass repair is typically not feasible for such items.

Setup: No assembly is required. Simply place the &k Amsterdam Astral Jar on a stable, flat surface. Remove the lid to place items inside.
Compatibility: This jar is designed for decorative and storage purposes. It is compatible with dry goods and small personal items. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures or direct, prolonged sunlight which could fade the color over time.
Care: To clean, gently wipe the exterior and interior with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the glass finish. Hand wash only if necessary, and dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth. Ensure the lid is also cleaned with a damp cloth and dried completely.
