Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Installation of the RAK Ingot Recessed Niche requires planning during the construction or renovation phase. A wall chase must be created to accommodate the niche's dimensions, allowing for a flush, integrated fit. This is typically done by tilers or builders during the wall framing and tiling process. Electrical connections for the LED must be made by a qualified electrician, adhering to all local building codes and regulations. The niche is designed to be installed vertically within a standard stud wall.
Compatibility:
This niche is designed to integrate seamlessly into most standard wall constructions. The matt black finish is specifically engineered to coordinate with the RAK Ingot basin and waste range, but it also complements a wide array of contemporary bathroom styles and colour palettes.
Care:
To maintain the pristine appearance of the black finish and the stainless steel:
- Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
- For tougher residue, use a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or scouring pads, which can damage the finish.
- Dry the niche thoroughly after cleaning to prevent water spots.
- Ensure the LED light is protected from direct high-pressure water jets, although it is IP44 rated for general bathroom use.
