FAQs
Is this lead rope machine washable?
While hand washing is recommended to preserve the integrity of the hardware, it can be placed in a mesh laundry bag and washed on a delicate cycle if absolutely necessary.
Can I use this for cross-tying?
This lead is designed primarily for leading. For cross-ties, it is generally recommended to use specialized, heavy-duty equipment.
What is the material made of?
The HKM Lead Rope is constructed from durable, high-strength polyester.
Does the snap hook rotate?
Yes, it features a swivel snap hook design to prevent the rope from twisting during use.
Is this rope suitable for horses that pull back?
The lead is durable, but no lead should be used as a restraint for a horse that is prone to panicking or pulling back aggressively against tie-points.

Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the hinge and spring mechanism.
