Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before beginning assembly, ensure you have a clean, well-lit workspace and a set of sharp hobby knives, wood glue, and various grades of sandpaper. It is recommended to organize the wooden components by their laser-cut sheets to avoid confusion during the early framing stages. For long-term care, keep the finished model away from direct sunlight to prevent wood discoloration and avoid high-humidity environments, which can cause the rigging lines to slacken over time. Occasional dusting with a soft, dry brush or a very gentle compressed air canister is sufficient to keep the intricate deck fittings and sails looking pristine.
